Let’s Try Something New

Do you have a foolproof way of wearing your hair? Like, the way you do your hair everyday, and every time you go out? It looks okay, not too amazing, but you know people won’t be laughing at you behind your back. I’m big on hair. As long as my hair is done and looks nice, I feel good. Some people can’t leave the house without makeup, but me? As long as my hair is sleek and shiny and straight I’m a happy chappy.

But, I have to admit I get a bit of hair envy when I see girls who can pull off that I’ve-just-come-from-the-beach-and-doesn’t-my-hair-look-tousled-and-amazing look.

So, I thought I’d give it a try myself. And I mean a real try. Because I have tried in the past, and then freak out that it won’t work so run quickly to my trusty hair dryer and GHD’s and straighten the life out of my hair! And then I feel sane again.

But today, for the sake of research, I thought I’d give it a real go. So, I’ve washed my hair, and followed the instructions to-the-tee, on my little bottle of GHD Sea Salt Spray, and I thought I’d give you a run down of how things are going.

So here I am, trying to go for the ‘tousled’ beach babe look. Perhaps you can already see why I tend to stick to sleek and shiny! I’ve washed my hair, towel dried it, and spritzed sea salt spray into it like there’s no tomorrow! I’ve also been twisting and waving it with my fingers, and instructed by the bottle, to create ‘movement’. Now I’m just waiting to see how it dries.

*Musical Interlude*

Okay, so after a lot of mirror-cringing, hair twirling and bouffing, and physically-holding-myself-back-from-the-straightners-in-the-name-of-research, here is the finished result…. ta-dah!!!!!!

I actually don’t think it’s too bad! I might get my GHD’s and amp up some of the curls, just so they last the entire day, but all in all I’d say this is the easiest hairstyle to achieve. If you’re after minimum effort, grab yourself some GHD Sea Salt Spray, give your hair a bit of a joushj (spellllingg!!?? Is that even a real word? I’m hoping you can hear it as I’m saying it, think Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) and away you go!
